Build-a-Raft Competition

Get your feet wet with the Build-a-Raft Competition, a team building event where groups employ problem solving techniques and tap into their collective engineering and teamwork abilities to build a racing vessel for a wild and wet competition.

Using only the materials provided – which may include PVC pipes, wood, tarps, duct tape, inner tubes, float rings and pool noodles, teams are given a limited amount of time to construct and test their rafts.

During this building phase, teams can earn additional points by demonstrating exceptional spirit and enthusiasm, creating a colorful team flag and performing a Sea Chantey in front of the entire group!

Each team must identify 2-3 willing team paddlers to board the rafts during our relay style race. These racers must switch off with other team members and exchange paddles and lifejackets during each leg of the regatta!

After acknowledgment and celebration of all the teams’ efforts, points are totaled and the winners announced! This is a great indoor or outdoor team building event for ocean, pond or pool, and is perfect for any size group.

Aspects of the program may be modified depending on variables including, but not limited to, venue restrictions, program length, and group size.

Ask us about adding a fun Check Donation puzzle activity to the end of your program. It can be for the benefit of any charity and in any amount your company wishes to donate. We can even have a representative from the charity attend your event to accept your donation on behalf of their organization.
